First a little history on the ball hidden:

Masked balls were then extended into the public festivities in Italy in the 16th century, they were dressed with compose advisable and elaborate dances. Masquerade balls, as I have already said really died around of the 18th century, but became a popular form of entertainment even today, fashionable and exciting, which is ideal for a party full of mystery and pleasure.
One of the expressions that are often used on hidden ball invitations is: "choosing a mask and wear it, so your true identity, nobody said".
It's a great phrase and very popular on an invitation to help your guests include a brief sense wear a mask and create an attraction.
Invitations for masquerade parties are fairly hard to find, but there are many sites that allow download the party invitations for free where you are able to adapt to your own style. Alternitively left Masquerade masked ball invitations with envelopes, do you have your guest names written on free of charge.
Choose your location if you have not already, one home at a great hall or the hotel reception, there should be several spaces for dance, since it is a tradition at a ball.
If you are dancing jazz, classical, folk and pop, make sure you include theme decorations that match your chosen style of music.
Choose a mask is very important for the big event, generally if you have a very detailed costume, dress ball, etc., it is useful that the mask is very clear and simple, with perhaps a few corresponding feathers for more elegant, but if you're clearly dressed mask feather is more appropriate, complex, sequins, glitter detail etc. Or on a stick with elastic headband for comfort.
Most importantly, you should find a theme for your masquerade party before anything else. Popular themes of Mardi Gras, Venetian, Medieval Gothic and many more. Once you've chosen your theme your costume and mask of becomes easier to choose.
Then you can choose a theme color, lots of masquerade use balls of dark colours or very bright and Merry colors (like Mardi Gras)
Metallic tones are also popular and easy on the eye for your guests, there is usually a wide range of decorations available also for Mardi Gras or metallic theme, including the skirts of the table, Giants accessories, ceiling and wall decoration, cardboard cut outs, articulated figures, such as MIME and jesters etc. and some of the most beautiful masks I've seen are available in metallic colours.
Theme decorations are easy to find on the web, and not too expensive, you can paste scene setters around your place completely transform your event and giving a traditional Venice, theme, a ball, theme of Tuesday fatty and many more. Stick and easily add attachments on the scene setters and add hanging decorations and perhaps even of the giant accessories according to your budget.
Food must be maintained as a buffet, buffet of finger food for small size only is usually preferable as guests are wearing masks and may find it difficult to eat large portions.
Large bales have someone their salvation on arrival, as a snake charming, violin player or the server, it could also be adapted for smaller party.
String quartets are popular also for entertainment, jugglers and magicians even make their way around the tables of hosts. Once again the small parties could also adapt these traditions on a smaller scale.
A game trying to determine the true identitys guests was also very popular and added a humorous effect in several masks and a nicer version of a typical ball. It is often a good idea to create the same effect and may offer a prize at the end of the evening for best dressed or even the best disguise!
